Anti-Mullerian hormone, also known as AMH, is a fertility screening test. AMH can be measured by a blood test. It’s released from the total pool of eggs left in the ovaries.
AMH is produced by ovarian follicles containing eggs. The levels of AMH found in the blood is an indicator of a woman's ovarian reserve. As the level of Anti-Müllerian hormone found in the blood does not fluctuate much throughout the month, it is the most reliable single predictor of whether a woman is still fertile and how many eggs she has left in her ovaries.
How it works:
BEFORE PAYING FOR THE TEST, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR DOCTOR WILL SUPPORT YOU IN THE AMH TESTING PROCESS.
For further details on this test, please visit the Eurofins Biomnis website.Important: AMH tests do not provide a definitive diagnosis, so the result should always be discussed with your doctor in conjunction with your clinical history, examination and investigations such as ultrasound.
